Non-explosive dust extraction systems

Mainly used in metal processing without explosive hazards but also ideal for other applications, dedusting plants in this category include two solutions with different technology and different flow rates, always subject to the possibility of modular expansion of each plant:

MEP dedusting cassette filter

MEP cassette dust collector filter : the advantages of cassette filtration technology with fabric envelopes are its large filtering surface area and long service life, as well as its capacity to filter on even very fine dust. The filter has the additional benefit of performing automatic cleaning cycles with compressed air when the dust retained within it exceeds a certain level.

  • Available with modules of 2, 4, 6, 8 cassettes

MCP cartridge dust collector filter: cartridge filtration technology has compactness and high filtration efficiency on its side, especially for dust with fine particle size and medium to low concentrations. Like the previously described filter, MCP is also equipped with an automatic compressed air cleaning system, a device that reduces maintenance costs.

Both of these filtration systems can be supplemented by a range of accessories such as support structures,access platforms, fans, inspection doors, valves, silencers, collection bins, and special protection against abrasive dust.

Dust extraction systems for explosive-hazard dusts

Explosive-risk dusts are produced in various industries such as metal processing, for example aluminum, as well as food, pharmaceutical, and wood processing.

In all of these cases, it is impossible to prevent an explosion, but damage to people and machinery can be minimized by adopting specific ATEX dust extraction equipment.

MEP Ex dust collectors are suitable for dust belonging to all explosive hazard classes (classes St.1, St.2, St.3). To contain damage from potential explosions, these systems:

  • Have a reinforced structure to contain small and medium explosions
  • To contain large explosions, they are equipped with bursting discs without mechanical parts that, when stressed by pressure above a certain level, break and vent the pressure wave to a safe area.
